Anna Urie is the parent of a child with a disability. She lives in Austin. “I hope to use my professional and personal experience to mold and protect a bright future of service and inclusion for the developmental disabilities community and beyond,” Urie said. “I can’t wait to get to work on a broader level with the skills gained through Texas Partners in Policymaking.”
Diversify Community Involvement in IDD Complex Care Clinic Standards
Lead a diverse group of parents to participate in a national grant project to study the experiences of families who receive care from complex medical clinics. This group will diversify the cultural representation of the grant’s stakeholders while communicating with major entities such as Medicaid and other insurance providers to inform and improve access to care.
