Kathy Riojas
Carrollton
Kathy Riojas, MS, LPC is a wife and mom of three in Carrollton, Texas. A former public-school educator and school counselor, she currently operates as an independent mental health professional in her community. Kathy’s advocacy efforts have always been connected to her role as mom, neighbor, and community member. She has led committees at her children’s schools, served as president of PTA, and chaired the student health advisory committee for her local school district. When her youngest child was diagnosed with Autism, Kathy was able to shift her focus to providing support for caregivers in her community and online. Whether it’s working individually with clients in her therapy office or initiating community between caregivers in her area and online, Kathy hopes caregivers are able to find the support they need.

A Grief and Support Workbook for Caregivers
Project Description
Caregivers often face many barriers to accessing their own mental health support. The Grief and Support Workbook aims to give caregivers access to a resource that can help them process the many feelings their experience may include. It also provides some tangible suggestions for support. The workbook is free and digital, allowing people to access it when they are ready to begin their own mental health care journey.
