Christina Moore, of San Juan, is the parent of a child with a disability. “I plan to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to create the change that will not only benefit my son but all individuals with disabilities,” said Moore. She wants to ensure individuals with disabilities have access to services and resources so they can have a bright future.

Project Description

Establish a Special Education Parent Advisory Committee (SEPAC) for IDEA Public Schools in the Rio Grande Valley to create a better environment for the district’s children. Through the committee, parents will work together to communicate with the school district regarding the Special Education Department.
