Nedra Cheatham, a self-advocate from Houston, wants to learn how to increase access to resources for people with disabilities in rural communities in the Greater Houston area. She is also concerned about a lack of bilingual interpreters for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and communicate in languages other than English and Spanish.

Third Ward Community Change

Project Description

Raise awareness of organizations that provide services for people with disabilities in the Third Ward of Houston. Third Ward residents will be connected to community organizations and made aware of the services they provide through meetings at the Third Ward Multi-Service Center.
