Sarah Whitlock, a self-advocate from Alvin, applied for the program because of her concern regarding services and supports available to assist individuals interested in pursuing educational and employment opportunities after high school. “Texas Partners in Policymaking will help me build my skills so I can advocate for streamlined transition services for individuals with developmental disabilities,” Whitlock said.
