Misty Joubert, of Beaumont, was compelled to apply for Texas Partners in Policymaking after her efforts to advocate for children with disabilities were often rebuffed and misunderstood by others. “I desired to gain the essential knowledge and skills to add to my arsenal,” said Joubert.
