Tonya McLouth
McKinney
Tonya McLouth has a daughter with Down syndrome and coronary heart disease. Before having her daughter, McLouth worked as a child protective services investigator for the state of Texas, as a juvenile probation officer for Erath County, and as a secretary and forensic interviewer for the Erath County Sheriff’s Office. In addition to these positions, McLouth was also on the board of Habitat for Humanity from 2008 to 2016 and CASA for the Cross Timbers Region from 2013 to 2016. McLouth has a master’s degree in non-profit management.
Currently, she works in scheduling speech and feeding therapy, social skills groups, and executive function/cognitive therapy for 25 therapists across three locations in Collin County. McLouth is grateful that she gets to offer hope, help, and advocacy to families daily through the course of her work.

Creating a Family Resource Center for all McKinney ISD families
Project Description
McLouth is building a sense of community for all families with children at McKinney Independent School District (ISD) through a Family Resource Center. This center will provide resources and support for all families with children enrolled in McKinney ISD, as well as support and resources for teachers in the classroom and beyond.
