Cynthia Guerra

Houston

Cynthia is a native Houstonian, a dedicated advocate, and a single parent to a wonderfully Autistic child. After being diagnosed with Autism and ADHD in 2024, they gained a deeper understanding of what it means to navigate the world as a neurodivergent individual while raising a neurodivergent child. Through programs like Texas Partners in Policymaking, they have found a renewed sense of purpose in building inclusive spaces for others who share similar experiences. Passionate about fostering community, Cynthia creates opportunities for connection through local meetups, book clubs, and advocacy initiatives. Their work focuses on supporting neurodivergent individuals and their families, ensuring that those with invisible (or visible!) disabilities feel seen, understood, and supported. Building these connections has even sparked creative initiatives like a community fridge, providing a practical solution to food insecurity.
