Anne Henshaw, of Roanoke, is the parent of a child with a disability. She is passionate about individuals with disabilities having the right to self-determination, lives of choice, and equity. “My goal is to become a stronger and more effective advocate for the students with disabilities that I serve,” Henshaw said. “With each student and family served, I hope to affect change on a systemic level.”

Project Title

School District Stakeholder Committeestudents. The committee will help to inform and improve outcomes for students and individuals with disabilities.

Project Description

Create a collaborative parent-led committee for the Northwest Independent School District’s stakeholders including parents, educators, community members, and students. The committee will help to inform and improve outcomes for students and individuals with disabilities.
