Brianna TenBrink

Brianna TenBrink is Michigan-made, Texas-raised service provider to those on the Autism spectrum in the Greater Houston area. TenBrink is the eldest sibling to two younger sisters with Autism and has made it her mission to make changes within the political arena to ensure fulfilling, meaningful, and successful lives for individuals with disabilities. For the past 12 years, she has been a tireless advocate for individuals, much like her siblings, at the local and statewide level, winning the Sibling Scholarship from Knapps and Roberts law firm, the Rose Award from disAbility Connections, Inc., and Advocate of the Year award from the Arc of the Gulf Coast. Once she becomes eligible, TenBrink desires to hold political office to improve quality of life, access to accommodations and resources, and educational programs to make real, impactful change for individuals with disabilities. TenBrink is also a current graduate student pursuing her master’s in business administration at the Prairie View A&M University.

Project LEAH (Leaders Ending Abuse and Harm)

Project Description

The mission of Project LEAH is to ensure proper protections for students with disabilities within the Texas public school system. The carefully selected membership of Project LEAH is strengthened with educational legislative advocacy trainings and connections with statewide disability rights organizations. Specifically, Project LEAH is seeking amendments to the Cameras in the Classroom bill, demanding new protocol for mandated reporting, and furthering the agenda of restraint, seclusion, and assault safeguards.
