Corpus Christi
Daisy Reyes is a graduate of Texas A&M Corpus Christi. She works in computer science education and enjoys spending time with her family outdoors. Although naturally introverted, Reyes has found joy in advocacy and helping light the way for her family and others. She has experienced unfair barriers and hopes to gain skills to help other families overcome obstacles. “I love being involved in advocacy,” said Reyes. “I would love to help build inclusive programs to enrich lives for everyone.”
Project Title
Parent Seminar
Project Description
The goal of this project is to help connect parents and families with local resources in the Corpus Christi area. Throughout the community, families are unfamiliar with community services. It may be hard to find the time to connect with agencies. There is a gap of services in the summer for students with disabilities who can’t find programs. Bringing in a Vocational Rehabilitation presentation will help families connect with available programs.
