Seizure Response For The Entire Community
One in 28 people have epilepsy. It is almost inevitable that you will encounter someone in your lifetime that has epilepsy and possibly even have to respond to a person having a seizure. It is important that the community, especially those that serve and are involved, learn and understand how to assist a person that is having a seizure. With her project, Hudson will get the seizure first aid certification from the Epilepsy Foundation as an approved and certified training through TCOLE, TEA, and the Board of Nursing. Hudson will also create a more specialized and involved training with a certified instructor that teaches participants how to properly recognize, respond, and assist a person having a seizure.
