Meet Brianna TenBrink: New Leader of Texas Partners in Policymaking

TCDD is pleased to announce the selection of Brianna TenBrink as Leadership Training Program Manager. In her role, TenBrink will lead all of TCDD’s leadership and advocacy efforts, including managing the Texas Partners in Policymaking program. Learn more about Brianna through our Q&A with her below:

Tell us about yourself

“I relocated from Michigan in 2011 and have made the great state of Texas my forever home. I received my bachelor of business administration in leadership management and marketing from the University of Houston and my master of business administration from Prairie View A&M University. In my spare time, you can find me volunteering with the Junior League of Houston, serving with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and spending time with my family, friends, and my two dogs, Sasha and Mochi.”

How did you get your start in disability advocacy?

“As the eldest sibling to two sisters on the autism spectrum, I have been a disability advocate since they were diagnosed over 10 years ago. I have made it my mission in life to contribute to the efforts of making a more accessible, accommodating, and accepting country for individuals with disabilities.”

What aspects of your role are you most excited for?

“As a recent Partners in Policymaking graduate, I am greatly looking forward to experiencing the program from this new perspective. I can’t wait to connect with more trailblazers in the advocacy space and to help to cultivate the future disability leaders of tomorrow.”

TenBrink looks forward to welcoming her first cohort of Partners this September.
